Ann Arbor's Linux Box Sponsors OpenAFS & Kerberos Best Practices Workshop at New Jersey Institute of Technology

ANN ARBOR, MICH. – May 12th , 2008 – The Linux Box Corporation announced it is sponsoring the fifth-annual International 2008 OpenAFS and Kerberos Best Practices Workshop. This years workshop, which will be held at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, has expanded: Alistair Ferguson of Morgan Stanley will deliver the keynote address, and for the first time, Microsoft Corporation will be present. The Linux Box CTO, Matt Benjamin, will also present a paper on OpenAFS Linux client performance improvements Linux Box has developed (a cache-bypassing mechanism allowing the OpenAFS client to write directly to the Linux virtual memory cache).


OpenAFS is a distributed and replicated filesystem that provides location independence, scalability, security, and transparent migration capabilities.
